At Polar Horizon, we are a non profit organization based in Switzerland, dedicated to harnessing the power of education, exploration and collaboration to deepen global understanding of the polar regions. Through cross-disciplinary learning experiences and international partnerships, we aim to cultivate environmental responsibility, intercultural dialogue and future-ready leadership rooted in polar knowledge.

Polar Horizon serves as a bridge between education and impact-to connect people from all walks of life with the Arctic and Antarctic through transformative experiences.

We empower youth, educators, researchers and communities to champion sustainability and global stewardship by engaging deeply with Earth’s most sensitive and revealing ecosystems.

What We Do

Our core activities center on inspiring curiosity, fostering leadership, and building community through education, collaboration, and cultural exchange. By connecting people, advancing research, and amplifying diverse voices, we work to deepen understanding of the polar regions and drive meaningful action for a sustainable future.

Youth Empowerment & Future Leaders Program

Empowering young people to become environmental leaders through hands-on science education, climate action projects, intercultural exchanges, policy simulations, and mentorship. Our initiatives build capacity for youth-led advocacy and foster the next generation of global citizens.

Educational Outreach and Polar Learning Programs

Designing and delivering immersive learning experiences — both in-person and online — that connect students and educators with polar science, environmental issues, and indigenous knowledge. Our programs include workshops, lectures, curriculum support, educational toolkits, and student exchange opportunities to inspire curiosity and understanding of polar regions.

Community Engagement and Public Awareness

Connecting communities worldwide with the polar regions by hosting public talks, exhibitions, and citizen science events. Through partnerships with local organizations, we promote outreach campaigns and encourage cross-sector dialogue on sustainability and climate.

Scientific Collaboration and Polar Research Support

Facilitating collaboration among researchers, educators, and explorers by providing field access, logistical support, and educational integration for polar science projects. Our efforts support open-access research and advance understanding of climate and environmental change.
